This first piece came together very quickly at the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020. I (Christian) was very inspired from this brand new situation we all have to live with since then. I wasn’t expecting it at all. At first I saw it as a chance for society to finally “take a break”. It wasn't necessarily just bad and I thought, very naively, that it would have last much less. I was enjoying the fact that we could all slow down a bit and concentrate more on the things which never come first in the everyday life. This composition is our musical translation of the feelings many of us have during an unexpected and surreal situation, which is somehow bitter and sweet at the same time.
