Here it is, the second part of “Flowers for Algernon”, inspired by Daniel Keyes’ science fiction story. The second half of the composition describes the main character’s emotional status after the surgery that increased his intellectual abilities. At this point he’s seeing the world as it really is. He used to be a happy man, but now that he understands how people treat each other and how cruel life can be, he loses his old "friends" and can't fully enjoy his existence anymore.
